Why Eagle?

Four days ago I completed 5 years of my journey with Oracle. This year, quite contrary to the yesteryears, I didn't dwell  much in introspection. There is something else which burdens my heart as I ponder on an early Sunday morning at 12 past 25. The American dream which appeared so tempting for the past 5 years suddenly appears to be a high risk question. Sometimes I'm persuaded to take the road less travelled, but there is a deep inner voice whispering to a tired soul which is crawling with little left of the precious thing called hope. The voice utters, "Those who wait on The Lord will rise up with wings like eagles". I've wondered why an Eagle. I'm not even close to convince my self on the reason for the choice of the bird. However, I wouldn't deny the majestic stature these creatures have earned. I'm assured of one truth. Eagles did not plan their marketing strategies to earn the position that they enjoy today. Ornithologists, the ones who study birds would agree with me that the Eagles had nothing to be actively done with their fame. It all points me to one logical reason which satisfies my inquisitive soul. You might agree or disagree with me on this. I would take the least effort to convince you to my line of thinking. The only reason that satisfies is this: The eagles enjoy the stature simply because they were created to. How comforting and assuring it is to know that it's the magnificent work of the Creator which makes us special! As this thought dawned over my gloomy situation, I chose to wait for my Creator to complete His design for me which will bring glory to Him. Now I know that I don't have to worry about how my career will turn out to be. I don't have to worry about making it look commendable. All I have to do is wait! For He who gave the eagle it's worth is faithful to fulfil His promises as I wait on Him. In a few days I will know the road I'm destined to take. I will wait on him with expectation! My friend, if you've read my rambling thus far, I would love to encourage you to wait on Him. For you are a masterpiece in the making!
